Notes
This is Barbara Healy's fourth CD full of her original songs with top notch players. Her songs get you dancing and smiling as do her live performances. She is well schooled in the Blues and it comes in all colors: from funk, second line, shuffle, and down home wailing 12-bar. Healy always has a surprise or two on her recordings and this one is no exception. She leads the band with a practiced hand, having made a name for herself in the Pacific Northwest Blues scene for many years. The personnel are sure to please: guitar virtuoso Micky Beach, piano man Michael Mendenhall, funky bass man Corey Culberhouse, rock solid Phil Shupert on drums, and the dynamic horn section Jeff Homan and Joe McCarthy.
