Description
A program rich in variety, fulfilling one with Protean Marimba sound !!
Notes
A brilliant Marimba Duo through the partnership of virtuoso Tatsuo Sasaki, former timpanist / percussionist with Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, American Symphony, and San Diego Symphony, and Michiko Noguchi, a well-known figure through numerous media appearances in Japan.
“The Tempest” is their second album following “Riverdance” which was extremely well received. The audience will enjoy the natural sounds of wood through a variety of entertaining pieces ranging from Bach, Beethoven, Debussy to Ravel and Semyonov(Bulgarian Suite), Piazzolla to Whelan (Riverdance), delivered with exquisite technique and a lasting impression.
“Riverdance” is an Irish dance musical performed throughout the world. In this album The Marimba Duo features three more pieces from the musical adding four percussionists playing castanets, conga, snare drum, base drum, tambourine, etc.
