Notes
Rain Dance formed in 2001. The members have played in various bands around the Triangle area of North Carolina for the past 25-30 years including Bro T Holla, The Holla Band, Heartwood, Tongue and Groove, 22 Tango, Main Street, Luthermoon, Terminal Mouse and the Debbie Elam Band. The core - Parks, Prescott and Tueting are singer/songwriters with a long history of original music - Parks and Prescott produced their own CDs in 1996. The music is original rock with hints of Dire Straits, Doobie Brothers, Grateful Dead, J.J. Cale, Allman Brothers, and many others, with styles ranging from reggae to straight ahead rock to country to R&B. Our newest member is Jay Street on keyboards.
The following is from an article in the Chapel Hill Newspaper
Ronnie, Doug, Harry and Robert have been playing in various bands since the "Town Hall days" of Chapel Hill. Town Hall was a nightclub set squarely in the center of downtown Chapel Hill in what is now the Franklin Center. A very loud and happy kind of rock and roll was played there.
Ronnie Parks - guitars, bass, vocals
Doug Prescott Guild - guitars, bass, trumpet, vocals
Harry Tueting - guitars, bass, vocals
Jay Street - keyboards
Robert Hudson - drums, vocals
