Description
This third CD from Tullamore Celtic Band showcases the full range of this trio's instrumental and vocal versatility and virtuosity. From a stately O'Carolan Air to a rousing unaccompanied rendition of Boozin', This new CD has it all.
Notes
Tullamore Celtic Band is an acoustic Irish trio based in Rochester, New York and named after the town of Tullamore which is located near the heart and geographical center of Ireland and famous for its beautiful countryside, rich cultural heritage and superb single malt whiskey, Tullamore Dew.
Featuring Terry O'Toole (guitar, concertina penny whistle, bodhran, and banjo and vocals), Brian Coughlan (flute, penny whistle, Uillean pipes, tuba and vocals) and Dick Bolt (fiddle, Celtic harp, guitar and vocals), they specialize in traditional Celtic instrumental and vocal music. Tullamore is distinguished by creative arrangements, strong vocals and a love and respect for traditional Irish music.
Public appearances include the Rochester Irish Festival, Sonnenberg Gardens, Strong National Museum of Play, Belhurst Castle, University of Rochester and too many regional pubs, wineries, schools and churches to mention.
Active for over twelve years, Tullamore has recorded two previous CDs: Tullamore Celtic Band and Welcome Home, both of which have been very warmly received. Their newest release, Tri (meaning three in Irish Gaelic) features a broad spectrum of traditional songs and tunes: something for everyone!
