Psychestra is London’s latest psy-breaks sound crafted by Thor and Simon House. Their debut album takes trance music to the next level, fusing trippy ambient breakbeat with psychedelic rock.
Recently described by David Bowie to the Daily Mail, “Simon House's violin touches a vein of pure Goth,” a distinct style that compliments Thor House’s symphonic instrumentation. A well-established hard house remixer and producer, Thor has engineered in partnership with DJ Ariel, nearly a dozen albums released on London Records, including hit single ‘A9,’ as well as recording projects with electronica pioneers, Apollo 440. Meanwhile, Simon has the legacy of being a prominent member of Hawkwind, Bowie, High Tide, Third Ear Band, among his solo albums and contributions to Thomas Dolby, Michael Oldfield, Japan, and Astralasia. Hawkind has re-released its archive this year to Cherry Red Records, and Simon is scheduled to debut his Dark Chemistry and Eden projects in the near future.
