Description

A focused armor piercing record aimed at the hydraulic heart of hypocrites and hypocracy, An unmatched musical journey that takes the listener from beautiful mountain peaks to creepy dark alleys, A lush jungle of nightmarish and progressive beauty.

Notes

Here is my story:
I started pseudo in 2003. Pretty much it is my solo project with some amazing friends backing me up. We self produced our first album "Out of 3" and released it 1/4/2004. We performed about 20 shows around the Seattle area and had lots of fun confusing audiences. It is really hard to generate momentum in the live performance market (unless you are very dedicated ambitious and talented) but never the less I was very excited to be a part of the Seattle Music Scene. While we were rocking those 20 shows on the side we were writing and recording a couple of songs as a group rather than from a solo perspective. I encouraged this because I have always wanted to be in a project where everyone happily contributed and equally cared about the band's success. Around this time I started going to school to persue a (plan b) career in Music Production, since I was pretty confident in my band's skills I figured it was just a matter of time until someone with power noticed us and empowered us to tour and record. Well it pains me to confess that my adolecent perspective had a touch of dellusion in it, for after a couple of years of kind of putting it out there pseudo hadn't caught a break yet! With my resolve slowly weakening while focusing on my education, the other band members understandably lost steam for the project and respectfully stepped out. I attribute this to a lack of strong leadership during our hiatus. Any serious collaborative and creative project NEEDS strong dedicated leadership! While writing and working on the followup to "Out of 3" too many years slipped through my fingers as I poured my attention into my plan b. During this time my standards for music and production inflated paralysing pseudo's sophomore album "Ritalin" in a perpetual re-recording purgatory. After graduating in 2006 I started my own Recording Studio "Houdini's Tree" and have been working with tons of great local acts since then. Starting a business right as the economy collapsed was scary and required tremendous amounts of time and energy that I had to subtract from my passion for pseudo (plan a). This even further delayed the next album. Periodically I would sneak a couple of days at a time to work on it. Consequently the new record is a multi faced monster containing 8 years of my evolution as a musician, producer and as a being of chaos, peace and sometimes moderation. I realize now that this record will never be what I fantisized it could be due to all of the lessons and mistakes I needed to have in order to complete it. Oh well. The key to happiness is low expectations. Please keep that in mind if you purchase "ritalin" my second effort with pseudo.

I still love to perform either with a full band or by myself with backing samplers so I promise to get out there and sell merch.

The End.
