Description

Pseudo Echo’s first studio album in14 years !

Ultraviolet came about after the band gathered for shows in 2012 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their first hit Listening.

To fund recording of the new album, singer Brian Canham approached PledgeMusic to finance the album's recording and manufacturing.

Via pledgemusic.com fans could nominate their level of funding to support Ultraviolet.

Pseudo Echo's campaign turned out to be one of Pledgemusic's most successful take-ups, generating 126 per cent of the financial goal in just 2 weeks of the the 3 month time frame, guaranteeing the release of the album.

Notes

Opening with three absolute pumpers, synth odyssey Amazing Sounds, The Desert (maybe the best of the trio), and Things You Like, Pseudo Echo make a bold statement of intent. This album is out to impress. And to that end, it meets its goal. The tracks on here are strong. The synth sounds, some cut and paste from Echo's heyday (with a dose of high tech steroids), cascade through each track. It is designed to keep Echo fans happy. But as an at-times forward thinking, at others reflective piece from a band that has lived through massive popularity and come out the other side, this album provides a lot to enjoy. And dance to.
