Description
Smashed up pop rock songs with melodic catchy hooks (like New Pornographers, Guster, Fountains of Wayne) heard on Dawson's Creek, Felicity, MTV's Laguna Beach & Paris Hilton video.
Notes
Binge played recently with the Smithereens at the Strand Theatre, Lakewood, New Jersey Friday, Nov 16. Special thanks to Ashley Alexandra Dupre for singing backgrounds with us.
This is the band you heard recently on CBS Sports and the NBC Today Show with their Maria Sharapova & Roger Federer (Grand Slam Man) songs (now available on tennistunes.com). Listen for them during the Australian Open. Also keep an ear out for the Nadal song "Vamos Rafa", Martina Hingis song, and reggae Andy Roddick song as heard during the 2006 US Open.
Swimsuit Issue is the band's second album (CMJ 4.5 Stars, Spin "Bands to Watch 2004") that includes "The First Time" heard on Dawson's Creek (Season 5 #503) and "Movie Star" heard on Felicity (season 1)! According to US magazine, Binge is Paris Hilton's favorite band! They are working on a song for her too. Only in America.
After riding the wave of success from their first album "The Ghost of Girlfriends Past", Binge's sophomore effort proves that they are here to stay with 14 new tracks including "Sexual Relations", former President Clinton's favorite song.
Includes the hits "Shut Your Mouth", "Everywhere She Goes", "Kiss Me Before The Cops Come" and other melodic classics.
Binge is a smashed up pop-rock band from Point Pleasant, New Jersey, USA that formed in 1995. The band has been performing in the New York/ New Jersey area, college campuses and overseas for the last 10 years. Binge has had songs featured on Dawson's Creek, Party of Five, Felicity and American Embassy, but are probably best known for performing their original underground hit "Anna Kournikova" heard on VH1's "Awesomely Oversexed" and E! True Hollywood Story.
Look for Binge in the background of a scene with the band "the Ruse" on "The Hills" on MTV with Lauren Conrad.
Listen for vocals added to by Carla Bruni (Nicolas Sarkozy's girlfriend), who, according to the BBC, at various times was linked to Mick Jagger, Donald Trump, Eric Clapton and Alex Oross (Binge's Drummer).
She has made a successful career as a singer since her modelling days.
