For a debut album, Privet pulled out all the stops - and didn't skimp on ambition. From layered, somber epics to folk-rock shuffles, the band attempts many a genre, and succeeds. "Only a Fool" is a 2 minute brush train, with a lyrical nod to The Beatles' "The Fool on the Hill". "Vasoconstrictor" is a 8 minute-plus journey, comparing singer Will Hagan's attempts to quit smoking to being lured and suffocated by a snake. Whatever your musical leanings, this debut LP has something for you.
