Notes

A major compositional effort from Mark Hayes, published by Beckenhorst Press, that combines the traditional with 21st century expression. The six-movement (35-minute) work, dedicated to the composer's parents, looks to the eternal with hope and glorious musical vision. Its Latin text, with some English, is appropriate in both concert and worship settings. May be performed with piano, or chamber ensemble, or full orchestra. (Visit the Beckenhorst Press website for further details).

Vocal scores, chamber ensemble scores/parts, full orchestra scores/parts, full performance CD, part-dominant rehearsal CDs, and a full orchestral accompaniment CD, all available for purchase from Beckenhorst Press.

Requiem was first performed on May 27, 2013 in Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, New York, conducted by the composer.
