Elements of Blues, Folk, Country and Rock n Roll are found and blended into pure Americana while traveling down US 61.
Notes
This is a collection of songs that are previously unreleased on the web. Several, such as "Three O'Clock and I'm Rockin" and "Just Ain't Ready For Love", were part of a limited release from the band Bongo Straits. "Rode Across Texas", which has been described by Erle Sauders as 'nuevo country' was recorded by the band 'Vintage Cowboys' and features a beautiful and haunting solo by Steve Ryle.
"Baby What You Want Me To Do" and "Ticket Agent" were recorded by request. A request from a fan and patron who bought and financed 10 copies complete with art work and was never heard from again. For all Billy and John know it may be a big hit in some remote part of the world, like maybe Blythe (wishful thinking).
There is an ode to soldiers and a performance on a home made cigar box guitar made by Tom Petry.
Each song comes with a story. But for that you'll need to buy the CD.
US 61 contains 3 cover songs and 10 originals and represents Billy at his eclectic best.
