Notes
Boris Skalsky is a musician and songwriter releasing and writing music through a number of projects. He is the founder of the band Dead Heart Bloom, founding member of the D.C. band Phaser, and recently the bassist for former Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin’s band Skysaw. In 2009 Boris released a solo record, First Songs. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, Boris has written and performed for the concert stage. Premieres of his works include two string quartets, art songs, piano works, and an orchestral overture titled Memoriae. His music has appeared in films and broadcast TV shows, including The Shield on FX, NBC’s Friday Night Lights, and FOX’s Terminator series. Most recently his music was used in independent film Friends With Kids.
