Description

A smart, catchy, diverse collection of rock songs driven by plenty of melodic vocals and electric guitar.

Notes

The legendary Preacher Curls have called it quits. This landmark album helped garner them a large underground following in the Philadelphia area. Check it out and see what the rage was all about.... check it out on iTunes: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playListId=6274781

The full length release, "Everyday A Holiday" (phillebent records) is described as a, "smart, intense, rocking full-length debut" (Patrick Rapa, City Paper, Phila., Pa). This was a follow up to their EP, "The Live at Longview" recorded live in the studio with an audience. They are also frequently featured on 88.5 WXPN, as a daily local pick. Request them online at www.xpn.org

The Preacher Curls have also finished a 5 song EP, called "Welcome to the Gun"(their 3rd release). This is a slight departure from their more full-out, guitar rock sound, weaving in more acoustic instruments and subtle songwriting touches! You can find it on cdbaby.com too!

Joseph Kim - vocals, guitar, keys
Jesse Lundy - guitar, vocals
Jamie Johns - drums, percussion, backing vocals
Chris Bicksler - bass, guitar, backing vocals

History:
The Preacher Curls are a Philadelphia based rock band formed in the cold winter of 2001. Drawing songwriting influences from the Kinks, Stones, Bowie, and sonic influences from the blues, folk, and indie rock, the Preacher Curls churn out catchy songs, supported by a full and rich, rock instrumentation backdrop.

Considered by the Preacher Curls to be the archetypical 5th and 6th members of the band, are the talented Paul Hammond and Paul Sinclair of Fat City Studios in Blue Bell, Pa. They are both responsible for helping the Curls capture the lush clarity found on "Everyday a Holiday" and "Welcome to the Gun."
