"Reflections on Life's Journey" is written in a lyrical, contemplative style with unique harmonies, relaxing and calming, with dual aspects. It is at once a "literal" cinematic depiction of the elements of nature inspired by much time spent reflecting and listening to the sounds and music in nature: the breeze whispering through the leaves of the dancing tree branches; birds singing; bees buzzing among the flowers ablaze with color and perfuming the air; the river, at times turbulent, at others, murmuring gently as it flows out to sea with its waves crashing to the shore, then the ebbing of the tide; the mist on the mountain gently kissing one's cheek; the patter of raindrops; the warmth of the radiant sun shining down from blue skies, clouds overhead; the quiet of a moonlit night.... All become also metaphors for our journey in life, the many paths from which to choose, life flowing always onward like a river, the climb at times steep like a mountain....the struggles encountered, but always with a sense of hope, that ray of light in the darkness; a friend to take your hand and guide you along the way as you continue seeking and searching......."Lacrimosa" for remembering our mothers who gave so much...feeling sad at their passing, but also celebrating their beautiful lives. The ringing of the bells calling us to have faith and hope, to persevere, to have compassion for all humanity and this great Earth......may there be no more suffering.
