Notes

Phil Smith is a multi instrumentalist, singer & writer, who for many years served with various Rock bands in & around his hometown of Melbourne, Australia. Using a strong sense of the melodic, and utilising whatever instruments & technology he could find at hand,Phil has crafted a vibrant new CD of Adult, Considered music, recorded at his tiny home studio high atop the magnificent Dandenong Ranges.
Grunge guitars sit cheek & jowl with Mellotrons, Acid Drums, Hammond Organ, Acoustic instruments and strong vocals & harmonies, as Phil shares his world-weary view of the world, always with a devilish sense of humour bubbling along underneath it all.

Great grooves and simple wordplay, while also giving the listener something to mull over and think through, seem to be Phil's M.O. and on "All Things Considered" you will find all these traits in spades.

While non-autobiographical, the album deals with issues which Phil, and probably all of us deal with during our lifetime.
The proliferation of the absurd and foolish media - life on the road for any musician who is worn out but must make it to the next Midnite Show-The world acquiessence to Warmongers and their attitudes-these are just some of the subjects Phil deals with on this record. But far from being a heavy political statement, "All Things Considered" is a joyous guitar romp through the mind of a self-confessed Jekyll n Hyde artiste.
