Description
Transforming the industrial-goth sound and replaces it with some mysterious-other worldly magic with female vocal incantations.
Notes
Originating from Europe and settling in Washington DC during the early 80’s answers the “burnt” feeling trying to satisfy the “system” with many hours learning midi programming on various synths, drum machines, samplers & tone modules. The one constant member is Christian V. and his trusty Megabyte. Brought to Earth by a multitalented Norwegian Mother and his father an Army Chopper pilot from Bronx NYC who rocked out every night on an acoustic guitar-singing Nitty Gritty, classic 50’s bands and his own Rockabilly originals. Influences are turn of the century Euro-techno, pop and industrial. His sister’s disco back from the late 70’s into the New Wave/Goth era of the 80’s. A Norwegian uncle playing piano and singing his head off every summer from ages 1-10. Candlelit reel to reel listening of his quite famous Grandfathers Norwegian Opera and growing up listening to his mother's choir rounded out Christian V. as an experienced musician.
Beatnik Betty met burntsystems in the social circle of experimental electronic musicians Sonic Circuits in Washington DC in 2008. They began working by swapping audio files of each others respective works over the years virtually collaborating by remixing. Then began real studio magic on the Witchrock CD solstice of 2012 when Betty returned from her West Coast Adventures. Grimm is featured because he is quite awesome.
