Description

Even though they live on the other side of the planet, the boys get together once again to release an all new album. This is chock full of brand new tracks, and for the first time in a long time, some excellent production value, fear not, noise is there.

Notes

Wow, you made it this far. This is a double volume release. Originally just going to be a single release of the 2011 recordings, but after digging through the tracks I decided to throw the meat of the 2010 recordings as a whole. In 2008 immediately after recording the reunion album(s) 'Butt Revisited/Butt Revolution' Mike hopped on a plane and moved to the other side of the planet, on the southern hemisphere. In 2010 and 2011 Mike made short trips back, and the boys hit the studio each time. The 2010 sessions ended up in 2 albums, which were unreleased prior to this. The first is the still to be release, Holiday album containing 99 new tracks. The second was the refinement of some new tracks recorded on the 2010 Revolution sessions. The 2010 tracks are definitely still raw, and have that sound you'd expect.

However in 2011 the boys decided to do a whole new album, based on ideas from the 99 Holiday album, they would expand on some ideas and flesh them out to whole songs. However this time, production value entered. After a couple days of recording, Mike flew home, and Marc spent weeks tweaking, re-recording bits, and refining the music. As it stands the 2011 is the Butt of the next generation in terms of production. And yes, it's still Butt, that hasn't changed. So if you don't know what to expect from us, sample a track here and there. We are hard to define, but originally we labeled ourselves as noise. Which in 1992 when we started was a newish genre between punk, grunge, and metal. Now, with the subgenre explosion, I'm sure there's a label for us out there, but we stick to noise.

The albums start with the 2011 recordings, working backwards to 2010.
