Description
This is the album that caused all of the attention that caused this emerging Nashville country artist to be where he is today! It has been said many times that, whatever "it" is, he has it! Without a doubt, you will love this album!
Notes
When Cale was 10 years old, his family moved from Elko, Nevada to Benton City,
Washington, where he found his love for songwriting,
and when he was 12, he finished his first song. He also
spent a lot of time on his grandparents' cattle ranch in
Enterprise, Oregon. He credits his Granddad with teaching
him about cattle, crops, and tractors (John Deere of course).
His experiences on his grandparents' ranch gave him the
inspiration he needed to write his songs. "I used to sit in
an old, half ton pickup out behind the shop, with just my
notebook and pen. I stayed in there for a couple of hours
one time just trying to find the right word to complete the
sentence." It was also on his grandparents' ranch where
he found his love for "old, rusty pickup-trucks" which he likes
to put in his songs every chance he gets.
When he was 12 years old, he bought his first guitar, when
he turned 15, he finally got the push he needed to learn to
play it. He was selected to be on Team USA for the World
Championships of Performing Arts, where over 30 countries
competed. He competed in the categories of Acting, Singing
& Modeling. For one of his songs he decided to do one of his
original songs, but there was one problem, he would have to
pay someone to make a backing track for him. "But I decided
since I already had a guitar, I'd just learn to play it myself.
I had no idea what I was getting into." He only had 2 1/2
months, but he practiced 3 to 5 hours a day. The hard work
paid off. He was blessed to received 14 medals
(7 gold, 5 silver, 2 bronze), a songwriting commendation plaque,
and the glass star for Jr. Grand Champion Actor of the World, 2009.
"God blessed me in so many ways. I never could have expected
to do that well. God is good!! That's all I can say."
Now at age 16, he has developed a passion for playing the guitar
and is rarely seen without it. Playing the guitar has also helped
him in his songwriting. "Ever since I learned the guitar, my
songwriting has just taken off." He had the extreme honor of
co-writing one of his songs with renowned songwriters,
Steve Dorff & Bobby Tomberlin. He has performed in many venues.
For a more in depth list go to my website.
He has now written over 70 songs.
His writing style is similar to the late 80's
and early 90's "Back when Country still had steel & fiddle."
He likes the "Down home, wholesome" sound.
"I like my Country to be Country."
