Description

Folk/Rock with a Pirate twist! This sophomore CD ranges from traditional sea shanties through traditional melodies set with a piratical theme, to straight-ahead rock. The songs bring layers of instruments together in a seamless meld.

Notes

In their sophomore CD, the Sea Dogs expand their sound into a wide range of new territories, all while keeping true to their history. With the addition of new band members (and new instruments-including the fiddle, pennywhistle, drum set, and bass guitar) they bring their diverse backgrounds into a seamless melding of exciting music.

The CD opens with a straight-ahead rock song, Woman Stormed, complete with a distorted fiddle solo, and winds its way through influences including blues, traditional shanties, Celtic melodies with piratical lyrics, a haunting ballad and energetic folk/rock, while keeping a unique style intact.
