A Fantástica Bateria is a New and Exciting Live Percussive Odyssey! Spearheaded by Brazilian sambista and percussionist Chocolatte (Anderson Santos) da Vila Maria, and produced together with Alan Hetherington, a Canadian percussionist and drummer who has been dedicated to the samba percussion movement in Brazil for over 20 years; both these accomplished artists have been fascinated by the roots of the tradition and its development in the global music sphere. With their similar interests they quickly became friends and decided to create together. Drawing on the talent of international percussionists from opposite sides of the globe, the infusion of ideas created around a strong rhythmic background has created a truly unique sound.
