Description
Original compositions for solo jazz piano plus piano virtuoso Warren Bernhardt’s “Sara’s Touch.” Transcendent bluesy impressionism.
Notes
Point of Departure
This solo piano recording of my original compositions represent a spectrum of musical experiences. We start off with “A Brother’s Journey” that chronicles the crossing of our dear sweet-hearted, courageous soul who initially ventures off into the unknown only to discover himself in the unknowable. From pastoral beginnings to a jazzy resolution “Point of Departure” indeed points to new directions in my musical thinking. I’ve included one gorgeous composition from one of my piano mentors Warren Bernhardt entitled, “Sarah’s Touch” and a couple of joyous bluesy numbers that conclude the recording that remind us all to celebrate even our greatest losses as part of our transcendent human experience.
