Tracked at Origami Lounge studios in Chico, CA, mixed by Chris Keene (Surrogate, Armed for Apocalypse) and mastered at The Boiler Room in Chicago by Collin Jordan (Pelican, Yob), Cold Blue Mountain's self-titled record spans the full spectrum of heaviness touching on the bands broad array of influences and the band members past, and current, multitude of musical projects. From the melodic post rock underpinnings of "MK ULTRA" to the doom riff dirge of "PTSD" this Chico, CA-based integrates a wide palette of tones and tempos to create a dynamic, genre-defying sound.
Featuring current and former members of Amarok, Surrogate, Teeph and The Makai, Cold Blue Mountain - Daniel Taylor (drums), Will McGahan (guitar), Sesar Sanchez (guitar), Brandon Squyres (vocals) and Adrian Hammons (bass) - bring their collective experience to bear on their latest project, which began as an instrumental three-piece but has since turned into a full-fledged healthy metal juggernaut.
