Notes
After moving back from Belfast, Northern Ireland, I put together an alt rock lineup to perform and record some thirty or so grittier songs than I'd generally do in Celtic music, as DAMANTA.
I called this project, CORSET.
The lineup solidified just in time to open for the mighty ABNEY PARK on August 28th, 2010 at the Red Room. Delayed at the border, CORSET ended up having to headline the night, with the blessing of Abney Park's violinist/guitarist, Nathaniel Johnstone as our special guest star. See it on YouTube.
Our EP release was set for September, 2011. However, due to the combined attack of cancer, ms, celiac disease CORSET could not go on. I played an solo acoustic set of these songs at the Media Club for our release, no one i knew was there. But the reaction was so great I knew I had to make sure this recording found the light of day somewhere, somehow.
If we can finish the remaining tracks for the full album, there should be a CORSET L.P. on the horizon. For now, the goal is to turn digital sales into a limited run vinyl for the die hard fans of these songs. Get in touch, and drop me your email and I will be sure you get a vinyl when I make them.
