Notes
"ELECTROFEELIC"...Ornament's long awaited follow up album to "Pools of Grace". With its expansive guitars and soaring vocals, Electrofeelic is a deep, transcending expression of bewilderment, love, universal questioning and the desire not to be "pigeonholed". With years of creating and playing music that continuously inspires the band, Will Coon (vocals), Mark Engel (guitar), Greg Cabral (bass) and John Pierson (drums) love the fact that Electrofeelic is so dynamic and diverse. Recorded at Thunder Underground Recording Studio in Palm Springs, CA. (thunder-underground.com) with the incredible help of Engineer Harper Hug. A truly collaborative effort, including background vocals by Katie Harris. The cover art for Electrofeelic was done by long time friend of Ornament, artist, Tanner Maguire.
Ornament formed in 1999 in Palm Springs, Ca. Josh Kjierstad, Greg Cabral & John Pierson were already playing together when Will Coon joined in to consumate the band. Things started off with a bang..the Three musicians had a very cohesive and creative interaction immediately. At that time in the local desert music scene, Ornament stood out with their melodic, expansive, and emotionally charged music. After creating a name for themselves locally and gaining a decent following, Ornament spent several years playing shows in L.A., Santa Monica, Inland Empire, and all over the low desert. In 2002 Ornament released their first self produced LP called "Pools of Grace". With the help of desert engineering Guru Mike Riley, the record was a well produced and big sounding example of the many facets of this eclectic group. In 2008, lead guitarist Josh Kjerstad departed from Ornament to persue his own solo endeavors and still remains a close friend to the band. Enter.. Mark Engel. An insanely gifted guitarist that has injected his amazing talent and creativity into Ornament creating a fresh, exciting new dimension to the music. Check for upcoming shows on Ornament's facebook page.
