D7-North was formed in the making of this album. There are four members. John Heussenstamm, the essence of a professional musician. On the CD he plays guitar, bass, banjo and harmonica. In real life, he plays nearly everything. John also produced, recorded and edited this CD from his hilltop studio in Laguna Beach. Do a Google search for John and you'll appreciate this CD even more.
Vaughan Heussenstamm is John's son. Anyone into chess will recognize Vaughan's name. Anyone into music should learn it. On the CD, Vaughan plays drums and keyboard and it is his great instinct about how music should sound that comes through on this CD.
Kristin Burns is the daughter of Idaho musician-extraordinaire Bob Burns. Kristin has been playing the fiddle since she was six and has a room full of awards to prove it. This is her first recording as a vocalist, but won't be her last.
Lockwood, that's me. I took a 37-year vacation from music until two years ago when a series of events got me involved again. Some painful, some joyous. Through the encouragement of those who I consider family, I started writing and performing . This album is the first in my labor of love . It won't be the last.
