Description
The Soundtrack to the next film to be banned in Utah! "The perfect indie film soundtrack." "The sound of Portland's indie music scene." A great compilation of indie artists with a wide range of musical styles!
Notes
This soundtrack was called "The sound of Portland... all the bands you've never heard of but should get to know!" "Crackin' The Code" was an indie film made in Portland, Oregon with Portland artists and with the love and support of the community.
The music on this album was the perfect match to this indie feature and most of it came from the actors in the film. Steve Coker, writer and director of the flick brought music from "Third Estate" a band he was in seven years before the film was made. Illya Torres, who played Alec in the film gave us "Walkfast," which became the heart and soul of this soundtrack. The Slingshot Lounge in Portland, one of our stellar locations brought us the music of "Seppuku," as the owner of the bar was a member of this amazing and fun band. And finally a hilarious original rap by actor John San Nicolas who brings us the song "Crackin' The Code."
Look for the film to be distributed soon on MoPix available as a digital download app, and give these cool undiscovered and independent bands a listen. Enjoy.
