Description

Craig Ingraham is a dynamic performer, singer/songwriter known for his soaring melodies, poetic lyrics, and exciting arrangements. Multi-talented singer/songwriter/bassist Rob Moitoza brings the funk and a whole lot more.

Notes

Craig’s parents knew something was up when they found him listening to the radio and leading the orchestra from his highchair at the age of two. His mom turned off the radio and Craig turned his dinner plate over on his head, food and all.
A miniature drum set with Mickey Mouse on the kick drumhead had arrived for Christmas when he was four, followed by a piano with lessons at age ten. His piano teacher knew Craig was gifted when he came to his lessons playing his own piano compositions instead of the assigned exercises. By age twelve, his uncle Bob had imparted to him a basic understanding of music theory and harmony. All the while, he was learning to sing from the radio and the Sisters at Our Lady of Peace grammar school.
He started playing guitar when he was twelve and soon began performing at his friends’ birthday parties for money. Getting paid to have fun was a pretty good idea, he thought. By the time he graduated from high school, he had 24 guitar students and a very popular rock ‘n roll band working with a fake ID in bars and clubs. He began recording his original songs on his four track studio at home. This led to his first professional recording session for Liberty Records. Then college, football, and gigs across the United States--from San Diego to Alaska, Las Vegas to Indiana. By the age of 27, he was producing and arranging for Barry White’s Soul Unlimited Productions.
Craig Ingraham is a brilliant musician who wears many hats. Along with being an arranger and producer, he is a prolific singer/songwriter and guitarist--equally at home with all forms of popular music. A big voice filled with passion and subtlety, he is capable of bringing down the house with nothing more than an acoustic guitar. His album “WORLD ON FIRE – SONGS FOR PEACE”, in collaboration with Rob Moitoza, was played for 100,000 people in San Francisco as they finished their march against the war in Iraq. As a producer, he is well respected for his ability to coax great performances from other artists both in the studio and on the stage. Craig has worked with such diverse artists as Count Basie, David Benoit, Gabriel Katona, Casey Kelly, Dan Hicks, The Kingston Trio, Barry White, and Bobby Hutcherson among others.
Rob Moitoza has appeared on over a hundred record albums as bassist, vocalist, or writer. He has written over a thousand original songs, and he is an experienced recording engineer and producer of pop music, soundtracks, and radio and television advertising. His recent CD releases include "Speak Out!" (eclectic, contemporary protest music) and "Rob Moitoza's Cavalcade of Stars"(musical and political satire).
Rob has performed with The Sons of Champlin, Cold Blood, Holly Near, Spencer Davis, Jerry Miller, Sam Andrew, Kiki Dee, Tim Weisberg, and Annie Rose and the Thrillers. He has appeared on recordings with Holly Near, David Lanz, Harvey Mason, Brian Auger, The Sons of Champlin, Sugarloaf, Tower of Power (as writer), Tom Scott, Tim Noah, Victor Feldman, Orville Johnson, Curley Cooke, and many more. Rob is a three-time BB (Best Bass) Award winner from the Washington Blues Society. As Craig says, “Rob taught me da’ funk!”
