Description
N-Side delivers a gem that features his thought- provoking poetry covering topics we all think about, but won't talk about in a non-aggressive, but inviting simple style.
Notes
This CD produced by jazz/poet N-Side, highlights his thought provoking poetry covering topics we all think about, but won’t talk about and is done in his usual non aggressive, simple style. It is still true to spoken art, and performed within a more diverse musical atmosphere different from his more noted straight jazz/poetry vibe. The neo-soul/nu-jazz/hop music collaboration with Ricardo Love, who plays all instruments on the tracks (except for tracks 4 and 9, the beats were produced by newcomer beat producer Russell Case), help create a musical landscape that still helps to create the symbiotic relationship between words and music heard on other N-Side CD’s. They are done in a reflective, simple and groove tasteful style. Listeners will love the funk vibe on "Bad Manners" and the hip-hop feel to "Hero, I Know". N-Side shines with his honest lyrics on the kick-off number "What I Know About Love (I Learned From You)". Another great surprise is the latin guitar flavored "How Can I Be Sure?", a solo instrumental performance track featuring Ricardo Love. So, please accept this invitation by the words of jazz/poet N-Side, and listen as we try to help you create your own tru' groovin’ atmosphere. The elements are here, in this CD
