Description
The New Zealander's fourth album, and his second Country CD contains twelve original country songs including the self-penned title track which is a homage to David's homeland.
Notes
David began performing in his homeland of New Zealand where he performed as the pop legend Billy Fury for the America's Cup Yacht Race. After moving to the UK he appeared on the cabaret circuit performing many great Middle of the Road covers, many of which appear on his first two CD's which were produced back in New Zealand. David continued his recording career in the UK while making a switch to Country Music. "Aotearoa" is the second Country album produced by British Country Music award winner Dan Wesley at Twangmeister Studios, Grimsby,UK. "Baby Blue" was an album of country covers while "Aotearoa" features almost entirely original songs. The only exception being Lobo's "I'd Love You To Want Me".
This CD is a musical collaboration between Nashville, USA, and Twangmeister Studios, UK.
Liner Notes
"I'd like to start by thanking you for purchasing my album and sincerely hope you enjoy listening to it. A special thanks to all the songwriters in Nashville who have made this album all the more possible. Bob Dellaposta, Jill Larsen, Blake Addison, Zeke Costo, Jude Albert, Jim Stephens and a very special thanks to Crissy Wix from blue Magnolia Music Publishing, who's help on this project has been a godsend.
Now country music wouldn't be what it is without the fantastic talents of Nashville musicians so a big thanks to Galen Breen, Owen Hale, Tommy Harden, Paul Arntz, Larry Franklin, Danny Parks, Pat Stevers, Buddy Hyatt and Bruce Watkins.
A big thank you to all the team here in the UK. Dan Wesley, Rachel Wilding, Steve Blythin, Jenny Beck and Mitch Deighton. You're all a joy to work with.
Once again a big thank you to everyone involved in the production on this album both here and in Nashville."
