Medieval Melodic Celtic Folk Rock best describes the music by David Cawkwell in his first solo acoustic/electric album of his best material of the last 30 years. Also with Yvonne Vally on vocals and percussion.
Notes
This music represents the best song writing over the last 30 years by David Cawkwell. Many of these songs were recorded in the 1980's with WHEN THUNDER COMES in a psychedelic rock style. Brave Heart and Circle World were recorded in another progressive rock original project named BASTILLE/Off With Your Head also written by David Cawkwell. After doing several acoustic solo shows it was exciting to see how the music transended to a new level of performance that shed a new light on the material. Expanding the instruments to 12 string, mandolin and Irish bouzouki, the songs just sounded great therefore the recording of "Taken All You Can" started. A new band was formed in 2012 named The Highland Toppers in order to perform this project in the way it was recorded.
