Description
Four melodic and edgy gems from this Vancouver quartet, including a worthy update of Bob Dylan's "It Ain't Me Babe".
Notes
Following up on Rick Sloboda's innovative debut, The Breakfast Show (also released under The Lounge Cats moniker), this sophomore effort moves from a "revolving band" concept to a foursome of Cats that includes multi-instrumentalists Roger Lamothe, Rob Lagambina and Mark Cameron. Litterbox Gems brings a new edge to The Lounge Cats' sound while remaining true to the band's melodic roots. Sloboda's song-writing style, which blends the influences of rock-and-roll classics with those of current "classics of the future", is complemented by the diverse musical tastes of new band members Lamothe, Lagambina and Cameron.
