Notes
David Keith Jones began musical life with a choir in Bargoed, Wales. His school interests included sport, drama and playing in a band. He began download recording in 2010 and gained a million hits on You Tube by 2011. Vocals and backing range from opera to traditional songs, standards and jazz, notably including Arie Antiche, Schubert and Gershwin. David began vocal training at Leicester University and sang in light operas. He then played Jack Worthing in Oscar Wilde’s ‘The Importance of being Earnest’. Later coached in Cardiff by Gerald Davies, former principal tenor at Sadlers Wells, David led an opera group in St Albans where roles included Don Jose, Turiddu, Rodolfo plus G&S. He sang the role of Elgar’s Gerontius and in Handel's Messiah. Play roles since 2000 include Aykbourn's Gosforth. David's stage performances are reflected in his albums. He has also recorded work by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers, Sammy Cahn and Jerome Kern plus traditional songs of several nations. David lives in Milton Keynes, England, with his wife, the artist Jean Tatton Jones
