Notes

Electrifying Christian rock and worship band Never Forsaken shares songs that reflect members’ enthusiasm for the lush melodies and harmonies of Christian praise music and heavy Christian rock and are sparked by their gratitude for the expressive gift of music that connects hearts and minds and replenishes the soul. The group’s large sound and spirit-moving lyrics further their mission to spread comforting messages about God’s awesome power, letting others know they are not alone in life’s struggle and can emerge as victors over any challenge. Lois Dallett (bass), Jim Dallett (guitar), Arsean Cannon (drums), Denise Jubb (lead vocals), Carlos Figueroa (guitar), Sam Santos (keyboards) join forces for the group’s debut eight-song EP, The Journey Here, a mixture of tracks with catchy hooks that range from symphonic rockers and epic power ballads, to rambling tunes with a country/Southern rock vibe. Their songwriting style is inspired by an array of groundbreaking, imaginative Christian and secular artists, including Plumb, Jesus Culture, Casting Crowns, Hillsong, August Burns Red, Breaking Benjamin, John Mayer and Nightwish.

The seed for Never Forsaken was planted the summer of 2011, when husband and wife team Lois and Jim accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior and began attending church regularly. At that time, they had already been performing secular rock music – both originals and covers – in clubs and bars around New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, but wanted to lend their musical talents to a church in order to give back and celebrate God’s kingdom with a congregation. While church-hopping throughout southern New Jersey, they finally discovered a church in Vineland, New Jersey that would align with both their spiritual beliefs and their penchant for creating thunderous, faith-based rock n’ roll. They decided to form their own musical ministry in March of 2012 and recruited fellow congregants as well as seasoned musicians from bands with which they had previously played. Guitarist Carlos and keyboardist, songwriter and friend Sam enthusiastically joined, followed by powerhouse singer/songwriter Denise. The ensemble was complete when Arsean Cannon was added as drummer. Never Forsaken is also blessed to have an extended support team made up of sound technician Bob Burgess, live photographer Denisse Santos, videographer Bobby Weinhardt, charitable ministry spokeswoman Shawna Weinhardt and director of merchandise Cassie Satterfield.

Never Forsaken continues to move audiences throughout its home state and beyond. The Journey Here was recorded at Lakeside Studio in Knoxville, TN, produced by Dove Award-winning producer Travis Wyrick (P.O.D., Pillar, Disciple) and features the skills of legendary drummer Lester Estelle (Pillar, Kelly Clarkson). The Journey Here will release in May 2014.
