Description
A collection of compositions created to fulfill a desire to combine a European Techno-style soundscape with guitar work that proudly displays its love of the hard-rock, heavy metal pyrotechnics.
Notes
The second DIY offering from guitarist/producer David Laffin that continues to represent and pay tribute to his love for hard-rock/heavy metal and techno/new age soundtrack music. He humbly pays homage to the sounds of his heroes; Eddie Van Halen, Ritchie Blackmore, Paul Gilbert and Chris Mahoney and layers the soundscape with synthesized expressions in the vain of the Chemical Brothers, David Guetta, and the late Rick Wright keyboardist/pianist for Pink Floyd. "I only know what I wish I knew", says David in regards to where his musical inspiration comes from, "I'm aware of my limitations, but my sincere love and respect for the music has me returning to the instruments and the programming to express my feelings regardless of any lack of formal training or technique". This album is an expression of feeling, sometimes positive, sometimes foreboding, but always sincere. It's time to take off again, for the Tarmac has returned!
