Description
Early protoelectronic music by the founding member and keyboardist of no wave band DNA, Robin Crutchfield, under the tag name for his next project, Dark Day. Includes "Hands In The Dark", "Invisible Man" and "The Exterminations 1-6".
Notes
Following the co-founding of no wave pioneering band DNA, performance artist Robin Crutchfield, proceeded to organize his next project, Dark Day, which utilized a revolving door of guest musicians. Dark Day's first 7 inch single, "Hands In The Dark" backed with "Invisible Man" featured Robin on vocals and keyboards with Nina Canal (of Ut) on guitar, and Nancy Arlen (of Mars) on drums. The single was followed by an album with a different lineup, "Exterminating Angel". Following its release, a 12 inch e.p. was released with a B-side of 6 hyper-reverse mixes of tracks from the album. The single, and these tracks, Robin's favorites of his early work, are released here, together, for the first time since their original appearance on Lust/Unlust Music in the late 70s and early 80s. Vinyl copies of this material have been reissued and are available through Dark Entries Records.
