In a small town of Bridgeton on the south side of New Jersey, is where Deesha, one of Gospel music upcoming stars, was born. Deesha, who now resides in Delaware, has strong vocals reminiscent of her inspirations: Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, and CeCe Winans. She will soon make her mark in spreading the Gospel. "Through my voice and strong determination is how I am going to express my love and faith in the All Mighty God!" States Deesha.
Deesha is a perfect example of the quote, " Never say Never!." She at one time never written a song lyric and never thought she had the ability to write songs. Through the encouragement of one of her producer's and a blessing from God, she not only has the talent to sing, but now also has the talent to write songs that are able to pierce the souls of her listeners.
Deesha always dreamed of becoming a professional gospel singer. Today she is fulfilling her dream by working hard on developing her newly found skill of writing, and recording original pieces in the studio. Deesha has been booked at numerous events such as weddings, hairshows, corporate events, NAACP Freedom Fund Gala and churches both in the Midwest and Eastern regions of the USA. Deesha has competed and appeared on the nationally syndicated, "Amateur Night at The Apollo" in front of what is said to be the toughest audience in America. Her performances resulted in two victories, and a spot in the Finals.
It has been stated by many that Deesha sings with heartfelt emotion. Her beautiful voice belts out dynamic melodies with extreme generosity of spirit, making her music a testament of her soul.
Deesha debut E.P., "Seasonal Blessings" has been featured on TBN's Candi Staton Show. Her CD reflects a diversity of original pieces that will please listeners of all backgrounds. She is also supplying her listeners with a modern version of the Gospel Hymn, "Precious Lord." Deesha is ready for the World and states, "I pray that the World is ready for me!"
