Description
Superlative 1999 debut album by the sadly disbanded southern gothic outfit. Long out of print limited edition. A must for fans of Nick Cave, 16 Horsepower and their ilk. Features "Open Contempt", "Open Road", "Blindly" and "My Eye."
Notes
Myssouri was formed in Atlanta, Georgia, USA by Michael Bradley. "Malamerica" was their 1999 critically-acclaimed debut release, limited to 1000 copies. Long out-of-print, it is finally available in digital format. One can hear the seeds of Bradley's recent double CD as Antic Clay, "Hilarious Death Blues" in this early work. A dark and brooding trek through a scorched American landscape. Featuring brilliant lead guitar work by Greg Thum (see "Blindly"), forceful and sublime percussion by Chris Jansen (see "My Eye"), and perfectly anchored bass guitar by Hampton Ryan (see "No One's Ark"). A must-have for fans of the southern-gothic genre.
