Anna Mullin is an honors graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Virginia, with a double major in Music and English. Her religious works have been published by Abingdon Press (The Methodist Publishing House) and the Gregorian Institute of America (The Catholic Publishing House).
Commissioned by the Gadsden-Etowah Tourism Board, she composed the words and music for the religious drama, Jerusalem's Gate, which opened at the historic Mort Glosser Amphitheater as the centerpiece for the Gadsden, Alabama, Millennium Celebration in the spring of 2000. She and arranger/orchestrator, Mark A. Harris, then created a contemporary version, entitled Always, which premiered at CrossPoint Community Church in 2002.
In addition to composing, Anna has been involved as a soprano soloist in many theater, church, and civic performances. She has been a guest soloist with the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra at its Pops Concert, singing two pieces which she composed for the occasion. She has also played leading roles in the stage productions of The King and I, Amahl and the Night Visitors, and Some Enchanted Evening, as well as being the soprano soloist for Dubois' The Seven Last Words of Christ and Handel's The Messiah.
Anna and her husband, broadcaster Neil Mullin, live with their two children in Gadsden, Alabama. A former Alfred B. Maclay National Equitation Champion, Anna divides her time between music and hunter horses, giving riding clinics and judging horse shows throughout North and South America.
