Description
Waterfalling is based on the fluid sounds of water. Drips from a tap, the flow of a stream over rocks, rain on a tin roof, the seashore - all evolve into beautiful, evocative mood pieces.
Notes
Relaxation? Perhaps, but this music is not that simple!
Although this collection is labeled New Age/Relaxation, I would certainly not banish this music into the realm of the predictable. My take on relaxation is not what most would associate with the plethora of relaxation and meditation CDs available inside the press-a-button-to-hear-the-music kiosks in the big box stores or in those holistic, incense shops. The music in this series digs a little deeper into your mind and requires a bit more involvement. Because these pieces will very often plant subtle dream seeds that sprout if you fall asleep while listening, I actually prefer to call it Dream Oriented Music.
The music in Waterfalling is based around a bunch of ambient audio samples I've spent the past year collecting with my trusty digital audio recorder. I've climbed tall Rocky Mountain peaks, slogged through murky South Carolina marshes, got lost in an endless Great Plains meadow, and strolled along the restless shores of the Gulf Of Mexico to gather the trickles, torrents, streams, waterfalls, waves, and even passing trains we all take for granted but, when we stop and listen to them, are amazingly musical and beautiful. I wrote and recorded the music to weave in and around these little gems of nature. If you can find a place to spend some quiet time, without any distractions, you will find that the music will also weave in and out of your brain, feeding the dream machine and giving your mind the brushes and paints it needs to create deep mental landscapes.
