Notes

Wear My Hands Out, Nebulai's sophomore studio album challenges your belief systems on a myriad of fronts, as well as igniting your musical palette with its insatiably catchy grooves. Released in June of 2007 onto the indie label Re-Perkussionz of Sovereign Art, the record is lavished with 14 musicians, 13 tracks, and 61 minutes, 52 seconds of total running time. Nebulai has not budged an inch from his sociopolitically irreverent, overtly queer-conscious, and unapologetic lyricism.

Blending such genres as funk, folk, soul, R&B, rock, slam poetry, jazz, and traces of hip-hop, Wear My Hands Out speaks to a wide array of pressing issues.

Irresistibly percussive, acoustic guitar riffs by Antara, lay the perfect groundwork for Nebulai's funky, soulful vocal styling. Antara can also be found on 8 tracks layin’ down her fresh signature vocals. Bringin’ the emotionally charged low end is the very talented Chris Cheney on bass. Wear My Hands Out also features smooth R&B vocalist Adam Joseph from NYC. Drums performed by “the human pocket” Caleb Bronz and rocker Chris Johnston. Truckloads of percussion played by Derrik Jordan and Lisa Newell. Old school Hammond keys and piano by Ero Lippold. Sax by Zach Tonnissen and trumpet by Tom Morse.

If it's soulful, honest, non-homogenized, conscious music with a funky edge you like--be prepared to order a copy for you and a friend. In these times where music is as processed and regulated as Cheez Whiz, Wear My Hands Out is a refreshing taste of real people, addressing real issues, in a real way! Unabashed and audacious, this new cut off Re-Perkussionz of Sovereign Art has sociopolitical guts, walking boldly into issues that most songwriter's steer completely clear of.
