Description
Post-punk power pop both jangly and crunchy. If you know Husker Du's version of "8 Miles High," that's what we're aiming for.
Notes
The Daylight Titans formed in 2002. This is our full-length debut record. Hope you buy it. Hope you dig it.
Previously, we released two four-song EPs and appeared on a UK label compilation featuring artists from 12 countries on 5 continents. Our song "Dangle" appeared in an episode of the UPN television show Veronica Mars (air date: April 5, 2005).
As for descriptions of our sound, we'll let others do the talking:
"The Daylight Titans are an Austin power pop combo that fuses intelligent lyrics with jangle and solid, driving rhythms and conjures images of latter day Smithereens and the Church." -Deep Eddy Records artist bio
"Like the army of guitar jangle bands that crawled the earth in the 80's and early 90's (think Miracle Legion, the Downsiders, and all the great, dark Tucson bands), Austin quartet Daylight Titans throw down thoughtful, dynamic songs fed by alternating piledriving rhythms with quieter but no less traumatic emotional terrain." -Pop Culture Press
"Daylight Titans are one of those cult bands which just have to be BIG. Each of these tracks reeks with pop sensibility and punches you in the gut with its sheer melodic power." -Alternative Malta
