Notes
David Churchill is a talented musician and composer who specializes in Contemporary New Age, Easy Listening, Jazz, Blues, and Classical original music. He was born and raised in the mile high city of Denver, Colorado, where he still lives and spends much time enjoying the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
David began playing piano when he was 7 and took classical piano lessons for about a year. He frustrated his teachers and parents by insisting on playing his own way. He became influenced by easy listening music when he used to sneak in to his brother's room and listen to Frrante and Ticher albums. At age 20, he started to write songs of the new age type, though at the time, he didn't know what new age was!
One of David's first professional gigs was at was the City Spirit Cafe, in LoDo, Denver, Colorado, in 1986 and 1987 during college. In 1995, he performed a concert at the Mile Hi Church of Religious Science in Lakewood, Colorado. He then sponsored, produced, and performed his own concert at the Lamont School of Music, University of Denver, Denver, Colorado, on November 18, 1994. He has also performed at the Unity Church in Boulder, Colorado.
Live performance has long been a focal point in Dave's music career. He's played keyboard with Classic rock bands, as well as a Reggae band and several blues bands, in the Denver/Boulder area since 1996. At the 2001 Telluride Blues & Brews Festival he shared the stage at a local bar with Tony Furtado.
David, a prolific songwriter, is currently working on his first CD.
