Notes
Danielle Bisutti, a Southern California native attributes her free spirit and irrepressible streak of wanderlust to the sounds her parents exposed her to at an early age: Carole King; James Taylor; Simon & Garfunkle; The Beatles; Joni Mitchell; Van Morrison; The Temptations; Marvin Gaye and Aretha
Franklin. Danielle\'s mother realized that her daughter had a gifted \"musical ear,\" when at the tender age of five, she was playing a Carole King melody on the piano. Danielle\'s first composition was, \"Lost & Found,\" a song
inspired from feeling completely lost in her fifth grade math class!
Currently, the LA Area Emmy Award winner and Los Angeles Music Award winning musician is starring in, co-producing and writing original music for the feature film \"Liquid Dance\". Danielle has recently collaborated with Film and TV Composer Justin Burnett to write a pop-ballad (\"You Feel Like Home\")
for the feature \"Venice Underground\" in which she also has a cameo role. Among her many accolades she has received a 2003 Los Angeles Music Award for \"Best Female Singer-Songwriter\". \"Glimmer\" was nominated for \"AAA Album of the Year\" and her song, \"In Passing\" has received Unanimous Choice Recipient Award for \"Independent AC Single of the Year.
In September 2004 Danielle performed at the Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival, where \"In Passing\" was selected for the TVIFF\'s \"Top Musical Artist Compilation CD\" and Music Connection Magazine recently featured Danielle in its 2004 \"Hot 100 Unsigned Artists\" list.
Danielle is now recording new material for her first full-length debut album.
In addition to her music, Danielle is also a successful working actress. Her feature film debut \"Tropix\" is now available on DVD, and she has guest starred in some of television\'s most popular series, including:
Boston Legal; The O.C. (recurring as the \"newpsie\" everyone loves to hate, \"Joan\"); Miss Match, Charmed; Less Than Perfect; Dharma & Greg; Andy Richter Controls The Universe; King of Queens; Charlie Lawrence and Platonically Incorrect.
For the past 4 years Danielle has been playing the LA circuit, filling rooms at The Roxy, The Temple Bar, The Gig, The Joint, Genghis Cohen and The Monsoon Cafe. She has managed to assemble an incredibly delicious band (The West-Side Five), which consists of cello, muted trumpet, trombone, accordion, drums, upright bass, guitar, and of course Danielle on vocals, keys and acoustic guitar. Danielle\'s songs seem to captivate the soul with
their bluesy haunting melodies, catchy lyrical compositions and her intimately sultry, yet powerful voice. She infuses a unique blend of soulful jazzy piano arrangements under-scored with loungy trip-hop beats,
while on guitar her style invokes a more moody folk-pop sound.
