Instrumental tales in a variety of styles from folk- like to cinematic.

Notes

People and events both real and imagined inspired the tracks contained in Moth Music, Volume 2. "Nina" takes you into the world of an international fashion model. "Isosceles" explores the experience of a love triangle rationalized by the "odd man out". "Pony Expresso" looks back at a historic race between a horse and the newly developed train. "New Base Urge" explores the experience of spiritual vs. material conflict. "Waiting Ambition" is about that feeling of being in a hurry and having to endure standing in a long line. "Wise Acre" drops in on three friends engaging in a battle of wits and tall tales. "Manuel Means Well" is about a mother asking for understanding of her wayward son. "Cradle" is homage to infancy and the basic need for nurturing. "Rinse and Spit" puts you into the dentist chair for a musical version of oral maintanence. "A Speck So Rare" is a contemplation of earth as seen from space. "Queen of Swords" refers to the tarot symbol of a woman "going it alone" after a period of emotional conflict. A middle aged mans desires for a woman half his age results in a lively debate entitled "That Would Be Like, No". The music being played at a belly dance competition provided the inspiration for the final track, "Soft Sell". Composer Mark Lopez has hoped to bring you into these pieces with a diversity of musical styles and moods. Moth Music will continue to explore instrumental music as theatre for the mind.
