Growing up in the beautiful Midwest state of Iowa, Bethany Joy Johnson has become the versatile singer and songwriter she is today because of her faith, and the unwavering support of her family, friends and fans through the years.
Miss Johnson began singing scripture songs with her parents and siblings as soon as she could speak. At the tender age of seven, she decided on her own that she wanted to be a songwriter. With washable markers and a small notebook, this young girl began to write small hooks that strung together catchy lyrics. Years later she has continued to effortlessly inspire listeners through her honest, heartfelt, reflective and positive music.
Bethany’s vocal range has grown with maturity and depth due to her training in classical voice and her experience in competitions, leading worship, recording, and performing throughout her musical journey. As she strives to push her limits as a vocalist and as a songwriter; it is common for her to sell out of CD’s at her shows, and has sold more than 2,250 copies on iTunes and CDbaby!
Through the incredible hardship of watching her newborn niece endures 6 open heart surgeries and to losing her older brother in a tragic battle of cancer in 2010, this 24 year old has infused her music with realities of feeling loss, as well, as hope. And that there is an incredible plan for every season in life. She is able to relate with all ages because of her openness and optimism as an artist.

Bethany Joy Johnson packed up her belongings to move to Nashville in 2014, without knowing a single person, to pursue her lifelong passion in music. She was accepted as a student with the world renowned vocal coach Renee Grant Williams. Bethany enjoys playing new venues, as she continues to grow as a brilliant musical artist each and every day in Music City!
