Description

Hard Progressive Rock

Notes

The Glim Project is a progressive punk/hard rock band, formed in 2004 by Lucanus Randall in Vancouver Canada, which now calls Luzern Switzerland their home.
In Canada they played over 100 shows and did two European tours. Songwriter Lucanus relocated to Switzerland in 2008.There he found guitarist Christoph Grob (Made in Mind), Claudio Berger (Artificial Superstition) on the bass and Simon Gautsch behind the drums as new band members. Bands such as Dream Theater, Thrice, A Perfect Circle and At the drive In inspired them to create a mixture of sound that doesn’t exactly fit in an unique genre. It’s high energetic Rock with a touch of Punk, Metal and Blues. The bands strongest suit is their live show. They earned their reputation as an extremely energetic and explosive band, which also interacts directly with the audience instead of putting on an image of being above them, what has not only won the respect and accolades of their fans, but also the bands they share the stage with. In the short time since the new incarnation of Glim Projects formation, the band has been fortunate to play some of the best venues in Switzerland, including;

- Grabenhalle (St.Gallen)

- Schüür (Luzern)

- Treibhaus (Luzern)

- Gaswerk (Winterthur) as support for Favez

After releasing a 5 song E.P. in March 2011, the band began writing and entered the studio again in febuary 2013 to record a full length album. The Album was released on May 22, 2014.
