Description
Sometimes moody, sometimes joyful - sort of like life really - and always with a lyrical edge. Acoustic guitar based pop/folk/rock with full electric band treatment. Familiar, yet not. Two singers, two songwriters, too good to miss.
Notes
The Jongleurs started out with a chance meeting at a large work Christmas party, when Richard (the taller one at 6'2") was introduced to David (also 6'2" but somehow shorter) as a singer/songwriter looking for help recording his tunes. This they did... David pushing the buttons, and Richard singing and playing. Somewhere along the way David started contributing guitar parts, and a few miles further down the track, after David started bringing his own songs into the mix, the two of them decided that what the world really needed was a really tall acoustic duo and so they officially formed The Jongleurs.
They rehearsed, gigged, wrote, discarded, honed, reworked, rewrote and generally polished their large repertoire over a couple of years before finally winnowing it down to these 13 songs.
The songs go from the huge sing-a-long crowd favourite "Gravity", a song for anyone slightly miffed that they never got to be an astronaut and wear a jetpack, to the dark, brooding and intense "Camouflage". From the "I'm going to cheer up my broken-hearted friend by teasing her" epic pop of "Tears And Mascara" to the simple, beautiful study of the world that is "Mother". From the bitterness of "We Are Not The Same" to the pure love of "Truth And Distance".
It's all here. We have you covered. Come inside.
