Description

USA-based rockers, The Jolly What!, have been credited with inventing the East Coast Boogie Board Rock genre. Their new album pairs otherworldly guitar tones with soulful lyrics, leaving the listener confident that they can overcome any adversity.

Notes

The Jolly What!, was originally founded in 2007, when Delaware songwriters Mark Degz and Brian Lafferty used a Ouija Board to compose the chord progressions for a low-fi concept album called "Life Is My Favorite Sport".

The Jolly What! was reborn in 2010, when Mark and Brian teamed up with an all-star lineup of local musicians who helped to catapult the band new musical heights. In 2011, the band self-produced their critically acclaimed sophomore album, "So, You Wanna Be A Quitter", which included catchy rock hits like "The Pog Collector" and "Topanga", which struck a power chord with Millenial listeners everywhere.

In 2012, The Jolly What! enjoyed a steadily expanding fan base and growing buzz, while headlining sold-out shows in LA and NYC. Their third album "Surviving the Supervolcano" (2013) was produced by Mike Tate (Omnisoul; Speedgoat) and mastered by Mike Tarsia (David Bowie; Hank Williams Jr.). It combines the band's signature East Coast Boogie Board rock sound with soulful guitar solos and inspiring lyrics. So listen to some music by The Jolly What! today and you'll be in for a BIG treat!
