Notes
The Contemporaries is an alternative band which includes brothers Jacob and Greg Garcia. At the time this EP, "Lose Control", was recorded the band was known as "Jacob & The Inhumanes' with Josiah Barrios playing guitar for the group and on this EP. After Josiah left the band Jacob and Greg decided to release the EP while working to reinvent their sound. "Lose Control" was written by guitarist and singer, Jacob Garcia, and contains themes that he feels everyone can relate to. Though Jacob wrote the songs each member worked to contribute their creativity to make the music what it is. The band hopes that listeners will enjoy the EP from start to finish to experience the story behind the music and feel how the music progresses and develops. The two live recordings were performed before the studio sessions and were included to highlight how the songs progressed and changed to their final form. If anything this EP highlights the joy and expression three young men can find in music and hopefully will inspire others to do the same.
