Description

A cancer-curing, sperm-obliterating, behemoth of a rock band with a sound akin to Billy Corgan and Kurt Cobain molesting Morrissey in Josh Homme's basement.

Notes

The seeds of The Bourgeois (pronounced boo-jwah) were originally sown in the Summer of 2011 when Zachary Mobley (ex-Have Fun Dying, Popular Culture) entered VuDu Studios in Port Jefferson, New York with veteran producer Steven Haigler (The Pixies, Brand New, Fuel, Local H) and recorded the three tracks that would later be featured on the "Perverting The American Dream" single. Upon returning home to Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dustin Howard (guitar/background vocals), Tyler Fitz (bass/background vocals), and Ty Clark (drums), were recruited to fill out the lineup.

Local radio station Z104.5 The Edge featured the song "Perverting The American Dream" and "Mi Amor" on their 2011 and 2012 Homegroan CDs, and the track received significant airplay on several other stations as well. The Bourgeois have been featured on Kings of A&R, Ultimate-Guitar, Urban Tulsa, This Land Press, and The Tulsa World. The band is working on an EP to be released early in 2013, as well as building their following through their energetic live performances.

"Mobley's first single, "Perverting the American Dream" is an example of his new focus and direction. The addition of guitarist Dustin Howard adds another dimension to the band and serves to heighten the dynamics in Mobley's writing. True, we've had our eye on Mobley for a few years now, but this looks like the project that could really open the doors for him to break loose on the music front." - Gary Hizer, Urban Tulsa

"The Bourgeois has become a Kings favorite. This alt rock band falls between Cage The Elephant and Social Distortion." - Dean, Kings of A&R
